There are lots of great restaurants and food chains in South Philly, but one of my favorite places to eat is an Indonesian restaurant called Hardena. My mom used to have a hair salon right across the street and referred most of her clients there because the food was that good. They opened at noon, so whenever I was hungry, I would just walk across the street and get lunch or dinner.
My go-to order is rendang, potatoes, and collard greens. But I will sometimes switch it up and get oseng tempeh. To drink, I get a lemon flavored San Pellegrino—one of my top-five drinks; I just love how they taste! (My mom prefers Perrier, but I can’t get on board, tbh).
Every time I eat at Hardena, their food is a 10 out of 10. The restaurant is pretty small, but as long as you go when it’s not crowded (around 1 or 2 pm), you shouldn’t have a problem. If you're ever in the area, please go and make sure you tell them that Chloé sent you.
Hope you give it a try!
