I have always taken notes on women who inspire me, especially women bosses like my mom, Heather Sanders, Brittney Turner, Kim Kardashian, Huda Kattan, Yris Palmer, Milan Rouge, Kylie Jenner and Karen Civil. Watching them do what they do always motivates me because it shows me what I can accomplish if I apply myself. Studying these women really helped me gain some knowledge on how to build Luv Chloé.
My goal is to inspire, so here are 5 keys I learned about business ownership from the female bosses I admire:
1. Your voice matters and it should be heard.
When working with others in business, don’t be afraid to speak up about what you would like to have happen. This is your idea, so you have to believe in it enough to speak up for it when necessary. Just remember to be respectful when speaking your mind.
2. Your business is your baby.
Just like a baby, your business needs lots of time and attention to grow into something healthy and strong. That means paying attention to details and feeding your “baby” with fresh ideas and goals that will take it to the next level.
3. Get good help.
Help is not a bad thing at all. The more help you have the faster things can get done. But, you always have to keep in mind that not everyone is good help. People may not have the skills or best motives to add anything positive to what you’re doing.
4. Understand your “Why?”
The journey will never be easy. Something that’s been told to me by my mom and others. This is where knowing you why, or your reason for doing what you do, comes in. There will be times when you feel like giving up, but if you focus on why you started your business, it’ll keep you motivated enough to stick with your journey.
5. Never stop learning.
It’s always a good idea to learn new things about the business you're in. One of my favorite ways to learn new info is by watching motivational panels or Lives, or listening to a podcast about a business-related topic.
