How the Quarantine Helped Me Find My Luv of Cooking

Hey Luvlies!!

I’m so excited about today’s post because I’m talking about one of my favorite things—food!

Here’s a fun fact about me that only my family really knows: I LUV going out to eat. I’m not a picky eater either. I will eat any type of food in any combination, as long as it tastes good. Lol!

Since quarantine, the closest I’ve been to going out for food is watching videos on Instagram of people making Birria Tacos in California. After watching so many food videos, I realized that I didn’t just have a passion for eating great food, I also wanted to cook it. That’s when the inspiration hit me to put my cooking skills to use!

Something about cooking always makes me happy. It also makes me feel independent. Cooking is where moments and memories are made. When my mom or dad cook, I’m in the kitchen with them laughing and talking about my day. It made being in quarantine a lot easier.

The meals I’ve made have been very different from my usual. I learned how to make my mom’s salads and I even stepped out of my comfort zone and made pan-seared salmon and steak instead of throwing them under the oven the way I usually do. (Btw, I’ll share a delicious steak and egg dish soon.)

I can’t wait to show you what I’ve been cookin’ up and share how my luv of food is getting me through one of the craziest times of all of our lives.
