Hey My Luvlies!
With everything that’s been happening around the world in the fight for racial equality, many people are wondering how they can show support. One of those ways is to highlight and support black-owned businesses, so I’m highlighting some black-owned brands that I think are worth paying attention to.
Beneath Your Mask was curated by Dana Jackson, who was diagnosed with SLE (Systemic Lupus Erythematosus) a little after her 30th birthday. Struggling with how much her body changed after receiving this news, she hit rock bottom. Fortunately, she was able to get help from doctors and friends to help her get back to good health. Dana started Beneath Your Mask, a line of all natural, vegan skin care products designed to enhance your natural beauty.
Hermerci Beauty Organics is a natural hair care line founded by Semaj H. Hermerci Beauty launched last year with their Rose Mint Growth Serum, which I really like. The serum is meant to boost and enhance your natural hair with nutrients and vitamins. It’s alcohol and paraben free and it smells great. Insta: @hermercibeauty
3. KNC Beauty
KNC Beauty is another all-natural skincare line that was constructed by entrepreneur Kristen Crawley. She was inspired to start KNC Beauty after going to Tokyo and giving some lip masks a try. After trying them, she didn't really see a change. This experience inspired Kristen to launch an all-natural lip mask infused with collagen. KNC Beauty now has lip balm, lip scrub, and eye masks, which are all natural! Insta: @kncbeauty
Simmons Beauty is a new skincare line that was launched by Angela Simmons in May of this year! They started with a product called Skin Glow, which is a hydrating serum that’s all-natural, cruelty-free, and vegan. It brightens your skin using ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, aloe, and vitamin c. Insta: @shopsimmonsbeauty
5. Pear Nova
Pear Nova was created in 2012 by Rachel James, who was eager to showcase her talent after graduating from International Academy of Design and Technology. Her talent caused her to be in the presence of some wonderful creatives and design a team for her Chicago-based Pear Nova Studio. After taking that huge step in her business, she travelled to Paris which is where she dedicated herself to creating a luxurious nail lacquer collection that is cruelty-free and vegan-friendly. I hope you try these brands. Be on the lookout for my product reviews. And don't forget to share this post!
